With its barbecued meats and seafood, Hong Kong is a paradise for meat-eaters. But there’s no need for vegan gourmands to despair; there are plenty of delicious eats without animal products around town too. Here’s our guide to vegan eating in the city of 852.
Healthy and organic food is on the rise nowadays, which means plenty of creative menus with an array of vegan, raw and gluten-free fare. Here are some restaurants and shops where you can indulge, guilt-free.

Home – Eat to Live
Located in Central Hong Kong. The menu is split into salad bowls, earth bowls, oven fired flatbreads, meat-free burgers and three varieties of open faced toast, each named after an endangered animal species. One of the best sellers is Blue Whale Flatbread - green base, falafel, roasted garlic hummus, mixed greens, roasted bell pepper, and cucumber at around 50 - 90 HKD. It's also best to try the Northern White Rhino Burger - mixed grain and pumpkin patty, halloumi/HOME vegan cheese, pickled jalapeño, and herb aioli, all for 98 HKD.
